A Geeky Gal Monthly Recap: November 2021
Welcome to my November 2021 recap! Unfortunately, I’ve had to take some time away from the blog towards the end of last month so this recap will be a little shorter than others this year. Not to worry though, I’m still listing everything you might’ve missed! With December already upon us, let’s take a look at the month of October here on A Geeky Gal and meggsngrits on YouTube!
Highlights
Reading After Dark: Games We Play [One Night Series #1]
Games We Play by Dana Isaly is a short novella based on a masked, deep voiced, streaming gamer named Joker (Jack) who spends one spicy night with Quinlan, a game magazine journalist sent to interview him. Jack seems to be loosely based on other faceless creators like Corpse Husband according to the TikTok hype around this 90 page read so if you’re a fan, this just might be a must-read. This dark and kinky romance takes Quinlan down a path she didn’t expect; who would have thought that this private and famous gamer would be so intelligent and so damn sexy even before he even takes off his mask? But Jack isn’t the only one with secrets as we discover plus-size Quinlan is tatted under her business attire and has no problem getting sassy right back at Jack during their interview. Jack promises Quinlan one night of really getting to know him under the mask while exploring her darkest desires, but is Quinlan actually ready to know who Joker is without the mask and under the sheets?
Gift Guide for the Cozy Gamer with Witchy Vibes
Welcome to the first geeky gift guide of the season! I’m getting really niche-y here with this week’s gift guide: gifts for the cozy gamer with witchy vibes. I was inspired by the cozy gamers on TikTok, but a majority of the creators who post cozy gaming content usually have a very light or earthy aesthetic. As someone who prefers darker things, I made it my mission to curate a gift list just for those alt fashion gamers who also want to partake in cozy gaming. I’ve gathered links from Etsy, Amazon, and independent businesses; I will link my Amazon list at the bottom of this post for all the Amazon items mentioned. You can also click or tap on any of the photos that do not have a linked caption, and it will take you directly to the Amazon listing!
